About Mistress Mind
Like all women, who I am is not confined to one neat, tidy title. I’m a therapist, forager, wilderness guide, survival instructor, women’s wellness practitioner, competitive strongwoman, personal trainer, ex-military vehicle collector, breast lumpectomy, sexual assualt, and domestic violence survivor, bereaved mother, and writer who spent a whole year living in the wilderness, solo.
I’m also professional pattern-recogniser who got tired of watching intelligent people gaslight themselves into accepting bullshit.
This is where I unpick the psychology behind sex, relationships, power, and the social dynamics that shape how we move through the world. From why people do the baffling things they do in dating, to the evolutionary and cultural forces driving gender dynamics, to the power structures we’ve internalised without realising – I examine it all with curiosity, rigour, and zero tolerance for comfortable lies.
I come at this work from a woman’s perspective, but not the sanitised, palatably feminine kind. I’m interested in truth, not performance. I’m here to analyse human behaviour honestly, backed by research and lived experience, delivered with the kind of directness that makes some people uncomfortable.
Good.
If you’re tired of self-help platitudes, relationship advice that insults your intelligence, and psychology content that tiptoes around what’s actually happening – you’re in the right place. I don’t do fluff. I do stats, facts, evolutionary biology, social psychology, and the occasional well-placed expletive.
This isn’t about telling you what to think. It’s about giving you the tools to understand what’s actually going on beneath the surface of human behaviour – so you can make informed decisions about your own life instead of stumbling through it confused.
Sharp minds and sharp tongues welcome. If you walk your talk and value honest insight over comfortable delusion, pull up a chair.
I practise what I analyse. This isn’t theory from an ivory tower – it’s psychology applied to the messy, complicated reality of actually being human.
